Monster in the Mudflats
Pix, a piping plover, enjoys the routine of summer in the mudflats, zipping and zooming with his Plover Pack until one morning an unfamiliar flamingo upsets everything. Pix insists it’s a monster and must go until he realizes different doesn’t have to mean bad or dangerous, and that there may be more than one way to define your flock.

This silly, heartwarming story is about inclusion, exclusion and encourages readers to recognize that friends can come in all shapes, colors and sizes. MONSTER IN THE MUDFLATS combines the theme in Alfredo Soderguit's THE CAPYBARAS with the tender tale of a bird book like BERT, THE BOWEBIRD: THE SMALL BIRD WITH A BIRD HEART.
